More recently I have worked part time which has allowed me the opportunity of volunteering as a parent helper at Ysgol Parc y Llan. This has further confirmed my desire to work with children whilst being able to spend more time at home with my own children. I am married to Neil and we have lived in Treuddyn for 8 years. We have three children aged 15, 8 and 1.
I have used the much valued services of a local childminder for the last 7 years and so I understand fully the needs of a working family seeking childcare. We live in a three bedroom house which is equipped with all the necessary safety adaptations for toddlers e.g. cupboard locks, stair gates, electric socket covers, door slamming blocks etc. We do not have any pets.
Having children of my own, I have a vast experience in all areas of baby care and childcare including: creative play, role-play, singing and dancing, story times, learning nursery rhymes, fine and gross motor skills, counting, alphabet recognition etc. I have looked after children of friends and family and have experience in babysitting.

Cheeky Rascalz is a new, private childminding business run by myself. I have worked in Financial Services for the last 20 years, working for both Lloyds TSB and most recently Marks and Spencer Money. I am fully registered with the Care and Social Services Inspectorate for Wales. Please click here for more information.
I aim to work in partnership with parents to provide all children in my care with a clean, safe, loving, home-like environment where everyone feels valued. Respect towards self, others and the environment will be emphasised. I aim to provide a quality, caring environment where standards are high, independence can be developed and where there is a wealth of learning opportunities, both structured and flexible, to help children to achieve their goals and promote their self-esteem. Children will be able to participate in a wide range of activities such as free play, cooking, outside play, stories, dramatic play, creative art, crafts, music and much more. Children are also taken to visit both the English and Welsh local parent and toddler groups to give them the opportunity for social interaction with a larger group of children and to experience a bilingual environment.
I hope that the information in this website answers many of your questions. However, I know that it will not answer all of them and so I would like to invite you and your child/children to come and visit my family and me. Please contact me to arrange a discussion and a tour of our home.
